I am on a mission to improve my physical well being, Diet and exercise has been my way since September 2006. September 2007 I discovered "Trikke" which helped my on my weight loss goal. I finally reached my 200 Lb goal in September 2008!!! It took me exactly 2 years since I weighed 315 Lbs. Here are a couple before/after photos. I have now lost 120 Lbs! I have kept it off since.
I discovered a whole new way to exercise that is a whole lot more fun than working out indoors. Our elliptical trainer was getting REALLY boring. Once I learned the physics of the Trikke and how it's propelled, I found it addictive and exciting. I look forward on any sunny day to get out there and put in 10 to 30 Kilometres. It burns more calories that jogging!
So it's just a matter of eating healthier and exercise. It's that simple, calories in vs. calories out. It has to be a lifestyle change.
2 achievements in 2009 were to complete an endurance ride in Seattle of 86 Km. and a test of willpower of completing 2 laps of the Lower Seymour Conservation Forest trail for a total of 40 Km of ALL HILLS!
My greatest achievement in 2011 was to do the TrikkeNut 100k Endurance Race in Ventura, California. 28 riders entered the race, 9 finished. I managed 3rd place for a bronze medal! It took me just under 7 hours to complete the 100 Kilometers.
Every year I hold an international event called the Seymour Hillclimb Challenge. Riders from all over come to attend a weekend of multiple rides highlighted with the Seymour ride. The challenge is to ride the 10Km to the river and back without stepping off the Trikke footpads. Can you do it? Come and find out.

Trikke (pronounced trike)
Trikke three-wheeled cambering vehicles are human powered machines that
utilize Trikke Tech’s patented 3CV technology to allow a rider to propel a
chainless, pedal-less device forward without ever touching foot to ground.
This elegantly simple construct provides a stable 3-point platform that
leans into the turn with the rider while all three wheels remain in contact
with the ground. A rider may reach speeds of up to 18 mph on flat ground,
ride 50 miles in one day, and climb the steepest of hills (with practice!).
Trikke’s design allows the rider to naturally engage his entire body
throughout the ride. Legs are active for balancing and shock-absorption and
arms punch for power-thrusts and hang on for stability and control. The
Trikke 3-wheeler allows you, the rider, to feel the miracle of your own body
and mind working in graceful unison. The bi-products of the ride are joy,
health, fitness and a renewed appreciation for yourself and your life.
