July 9, 2011
July 9th, 2011 Seymour Hillclimb Challenge was a success. We had attendance from California, Oregon, Washington and Vancouver, BC. We managed a total of 5 rides this weekend, later this day we went to Tynehead park in Surrey for more hillclimb practice. Then Sunday June 10th, we rode from Science world to Stanley park, with 2 laps around Stanley park, later that day we did the Burnaby trail with more hills. The Californians couldn't get enough of our trails so we did a 7am ride to Tynehead park again before they packed and headed south later that morning.

Optional ride later that day to Tynehead Park
During our Tynehead ride, John L. had picked up a sharp rock that caused a flat tire, everyone was an expert on tire repair so it was interesting when Gerry pulled out his Co2 charged pump. No one knew how much pressure it would produce, so 3 squirts should do it...BANG! I think we all left the ground and had to check our shorts! Luckily Claudio had a spare tube with him.
Claudio had some sort of allergic reaction to our Cottonwood which is flourishing at this time. Causing him sever congestion with runny nose. I had to laugh at his comment here...
